Gluten Free on Kauai

There is a new trend in our food world. The Gluten Free diet! Or is it a trend? Increased diagnosis of Celiac disease and gluten intolerace has created the need for a gluten free diet. From what I understand, Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune disease. Many people seem to be concerned, thus the new market for "gluten free" foods.

Free Kauai Bus Rides in February

Kauai Bus rides will be FREE from February 20 to March 10, 2012 to all residents and visitors , per
press release from Kauai Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.   The County of Kauai is offering this "Free Ride" promotion to encourage the Kauai community to use the Kauai Bus.  

In addition, don't forget to sign up to win a 12 month, 6 month, or 1 month bus pass during this promo period.  The Garden Island newspaper said:

 "There are two ways to win. The first is to photograph a memorable bus experience on a cell phone or camera and submit the photo via email to sblane@kauai.gov. The second way to win is to fill out an entry form and deposit it in the designated receptacle on the bus.   Bus route information is posted at most bus stops and on the county website. For more information visit www.kauai.gov or call 241-6410."
