Aloha Pastor Ron,

Thank you for the privilege of serving along side you.  It's true,  one doesn't realize how precious a relationship with someone is until they are gone.  Those random texts you would send me just to let me know you were praying for me, you already knew how sick you were...and yet, you were praying for me.  How humbled I am.  I should have been praying for you.

Today I celebrate your life, because you truly lived life to the fullest...never about yourself, always about helping a brother.  Here too,  I thought I was helping you, and yet you were helping me...teaching me.  Wow...

Mahalo  Ron.  Until we meet again.

Four (4) days of entertainment, food, rides, ag & livestock displays, vendor booths and people...lots and lots of Kauai people.  This will be the place to be during this August 23- 26 weekend, except on August 24, Friday...you may want to be at the Free Movie night at the Poipu Beach Park  :)

Poipu Beach Park Free Movie - August 24, 2012

Looking for a fun family summer activity?  Then check out  "Movies in the Park" at Poipu Beach on  August 24, 2012.   Can't get much better than a movie under the stars at a beachfront setting  with your family and friends.    "Movies in the Park"  is spearheaded  by the Poipu Rotary Club, in conjunction with the County of Kauai and it's many corporate sponsors.   This  FREE Poipu summer evening activity is very popular with the locals and visitors, so make sure you come early. 
 
Movie time: after sunset (about 7:30pmish)

Koloa Elementary School's family and friends will be manning the food booth, so please support them with your food purchases at the event.

Fyi..  Blankets and low seating chairs are requested.

Once a Month Church, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI

Once A Month Church  7/29/2012

Brother Dennis praying for the keiki (children) at Once a Month Church on Oahu.  With approximately 750 in attendance, Haleiwa Beach Park is in it's usual buzz every fourth Sunday of the month. 

Sadly, founder of OAMC, Pastor Ron Valenciana passed away during the event at his home about a mile away.  His short battle with cancer ended his time with us, but left a legacy in helping those in need.  Fellow members of OAMC have announced that there will be another "service" on August 26.  Future plans for the monthly gathering are still being discussed.

On the island of Kauai, Church on the Beach is an offspring of Pastor Ron's vision.  Kauai Bible Church in Omao closes it's doors every third Sunday to bring the gospel message to the people at Salt Pond Beach Park.  Pastor Merv Walker's "fatherly" leadership encourages his members to be doers of the word and not merely hearers by transforming the park to a place of worship.
