Food booths with “ono” local specialties, 70 craft vendors offering products made in Hawaii, rides, waterslides & activities for children, silent auction for activities, merchandise, accommodations, golf and dining.

A fun day out with friends and family, and a signature Koloa Plantation Days event.

Celebrating the 50th at Puakea Golf Course

Golfing outing at Puakea Golf Course, Lihue, Kauai with classmates and their family. One of the activities at our WHS Class of 77 - 50th Birthday Reunion. Classmates include Stan Kua, Etta Helm, Randy Chinen, Roger Honjo. Also included is TJ Kua, 2009 Manoa Cup Champion, son of Stan Kua. He smoked our b_ _ _s!! Etta's husband, Zack also joined us and they are the parents of Hawaii's up and coming rising star, Raiatea Helm.

World's Longest Golf Course

Today's blog entry has nothing to do with Kauai, and everything to do with my favorite sport. Golfing! Australia's idea of combining sightseeing and golfing, creating the World's Longest Golf Course. I'd like to check this out one day! My wife isn't a golfer, so this would be something we both could enjoy.

MELBOURNE (AFP) – The world’s longest golf course, stretching along 1,365 kilometers (848 miles) of desert highway with holes at 18 towns and service stations, is to open in Australia this year, organizers said Tuesday.

"Wainani at Poipu" has just announced it's NEW REDUCED prices.
They are calling it their "Summer Stimulus Pricing". Prices on all standing inventory have been reduced 30 to 40 percent.   I used to work at Wainani when they were not quite ready to accept the reduced price offers some of my customers wanted to put in. But the tide has turned. These home packages offer some awesome turn-key luxury Kiahuna golf course property options. One drawback is that these homes are closely built. However, nothing that proper landscaping can't fix. I personally love the feel of the layout of some of the models. The ocean blues on the makai side and the open green space looking mauka. I would enjoy giving you a tour and sharing some of my favorites with you!!

Kauai - Koloa area lowest real estate as of July 1, 2009

Happy July 1, 2009 !! People are definitely out there shopping for a "good deal" on real estate properties on Kauai. Below is a list of the LOWEST properties in condo, residence and land prices in the TMK 4-2 (Omao,Koloa,Poipu,Lawai,Kalaheo area) as of today, July 1, 2009. I don't know if they are good deals, but this is where the bottom lies.

The lowest priced, fee simple, Poipu condo for sale is Prince Kuhio #101, a 1/1 unit,listed for $249,000 with 305 DOM(days on market).

The lowest priced TMK 4-2 (Omao,Koloa,Poipu,Lawai,Kalaheo area) residence for sale, is 4345 Naulu Pl, Omao garden Estates, 5/4 house on 9,627 square feet of land, listed for $222,750. It is 2 DOM, Bank REO (Real Estate Owned). Although this is the lowest priced residence for sale, there is a LOT of fixing up to do on this property.

The lowest priced TMK 4-2 land for sale,is at 2-4196 Kaumualii Hwy. This 9,975 square feet property is asking $149,00 and is 86 DOM.
